Photographer William Zuback and I met several years ago and immediately were impressed with each other’s work. Our first collaboration took place in 2011 when Zu asked me to write an essay for the catalog of a Madonna and Child exhibit that he curated. Zu gave me free reign to interpret the assignment, just as he gave the exhibiting artists. Anyway, I wound up writing a lullaby of sorts, though one not likely to lull many to sleep. We are currently collaborating on a photo/word blog, “shutters–dead ends–lens–pens,” and this will become a gallery show early in 2015.
